Define Flags Window

This window lets you manage the list of flags available in the current workbook. To access this window, choose Define Flags from the Flag menu.

Choose the dataset whose list of flags you wish to view or edit. Click Edit to view or change the properties of a flag. Click Add to create a new flag, or Delete to remove a flag from the current dataset. If you delete a flag to which one or more flagged segments refer, Windographer will also remove those flagged segments. It will first warn you of this situation and give you a chance to confirm. Similarly, if you delete a flag to which one or more flag rules refer, it will also remove those flag rules after giving you a warning.

Windographer keeps a list of favorite flags that it copies into each new dataset that you create. To add a flag to your favorites list, select it in the list and click Add to Favorites. To add one or more flags from your favorites list to the current dataset, click Import from Favorites.

Special Purpose Flags

For convenience and to ensure consistency, in certain circumstances Windographer applies a flag automatically, or defaults to the most likely flag. The section of this window named Special purpose flags lets you specify the flags that indicate tower shading, invalid data points, and synthetic data points.
