Wind Speed Sensor Summary Table

The Wind Speed Sensor Summary table is one of the tables you can create on the Tables window of Windographer's main window.

The Wind Speed Sensor Summary table contains the following information about every visible wind speed sensor:

Variable Description
Measurement height You specify the height of each wind speed sensor on the Configure Dataset window. The units are shown.
Mean wind speed The mean (average) value of the wind speeds for each sensor.
MoMM wind speed The mean of monthly means value of the wind speeds.
Median wind speed The median value, below which 50% of the values fall.
Min wind speed The lowest recorded value of wind speed for this sensor.
Max wind speed The highest recorded value of wind speed for this sensor.
CRMC wind speed The Cube Root Mean Cubed Wind Speed
Weibull k The Weibull shape factor at this sensor.
Weibull A The Weibull scale factor at this sensor.
Mean power density The mean wind power density for this sensor.
MoMM power density The mean of monthly means wind power density at this height.
Mean energy content The mean wind energy content for this sensor.
MoMM energy content The mean of monthly means wind energy content.
Energy pattern factor A factor related to the distribution of wind speeds.
Frequency of calms (%) The frequency with which the wind speed is at or below the calm threshold.
Possible data points The total number of time steps in this data column. Using the Filter by Date feature will change the number of possible records.
Valid data points The number of time steps in this data column that contain data and that satisfy your filter criteria.
Missing data points The number of time steps in this data column that do not contain data or that do not satisfy your filter criteria.
Data recovery rate The ratio of valid data points to possible data points.

You can create a Wind Speed Sensor Summary table for a subset of the data using the Filter by section. For more information see the article on filtering data.

You can create a report containing a Wind Speed Sensor Summary table from the Reports Window. It is included in the Extended Summary Report.

Right click on a table and choose Export Table to export it to a text file. Windographer will prompt you to supply the file name and location. You can also copy it to the clipboard:
