Data Recovery Rate

Windographer calculates the data recovery rate (abbreviated DRR) using the following equation:

where:

Nvalid is the number of valid data points in the time interval
Npossible  is the possible number of data points in the time interval

The DRR therefore reflects the success of the measurement campaign at capturing all the measurements that it could have captured. It differs from the data coverage rate (abbreviated DCR), which compares the valid time steps in some interval to the total number of time steps in that interval. Take for example a 10-minute dataset starting at noon on July 29, 2016 and achieving perfect data recovery for the next several days. The DRR for July 2016 will be 100%, but the DCR for July 2016 will be only 8% because the dataset measured only 2.5 days out of the 31 days in that month.

Windographer reports the data recovery rate in the Data Coverage window, the Monthly Statistics and Annual Statistics tables, and several other tables.
