Reference Dataset Comparison Table

This table helps you to choose among multiple possible reference datasets by listing relevant properties of each. It appears on the Onsite vs. Reference tab of the Long Term Adjustments window.

For each possible reference dataset, this table shows:

the period of record
the latitude and longitude
the great circle distance and bearing from the onsite dataset
for the primary speed sensor:
- the original mean of monthly means speed
- the inter-annual variability of the wind speed
- the Weibull k parameter
- the number of concurrent time steps (valid in both this dataset and the onsite dataset)
- the intercept, slope, and R2 given by a linear least squares analysis of the onsite dataset versus this dataset
- the rule-of-thumb MCP uncertainty
for the primary direction sensor:
- the number of concurrent time steps (valid in both this dataset and the onsite dataset)
- the Pearson correlation coefficient versus the onsite direction sensor
- the vector mean direction
for the primary temperature sensor:
- the number of concurrent time steps (valid in both this dataset and the onsite dataset)
- the Pearson correlation coefficient versus the onsite temperature sensor
