Windographer incorporates four Weibull fit algorithms:
| Weibull Fit Algorithm | Description |
|---|---|
| Maximum Likelihood Algorithm | Uses Stevens and Smulders equations in an iterative fashion. |
| Least Squares Algorithm | Transforms axes of the cumulative distribution function, then uses linear least squares to determine Weibull parameters. |
| WAsP Algorithm | Finds Weibull parameters that match the observed mean wind power density and proportion of wind speeds above mean. |
| Openwind Algorithm | Finds Weibull parameters that match the observed mean wind speed and mean wind power density. |
