Dataset

In Windographer, a dataset consists of the current data frame and some related information including:

The dataset is part of a workbook, which may include multiple datasets.

The Windographer dataset reflects all the changes you have made to the dataset. So if you delete a data segment using the Delete Data window, that data segment will appear as a gap when you view the dataset. Similarly, if you add a data column using the Vertical Extrapolation window, that data column will appear in the dataset. If you apply a slope or offset to a data column using the Apply Scale and Offset window, the dataset will contain the modified, not the original, data.

Tip: The Dataset History window displays the record of every data file you have imported or appended into the dataset, and every revision you have made to the dataset.

You can export data from a Windographer dataset to a text file using the Export Data window. You can also export data from individual tables and graphs to text files, image files, or the clipboard.
