Data Column Subtype

Along with categorizing data columns according to their type such as temperature, RH, speed, or direction, Windographer also lets you identify a data column's subtype as one of the following:

In the Configure Dataset window you identify column subtype in an indirect way. When you specify a column's type, Windographer assumes that column's subtype is mean. In other words, when you say that a data column contains wind speed data, Windographer assumes that the column contains the mean wind speed in each time step.

Windographer assigns the other subtypes when you associate one column with another. If you select column 'Speed 30m' as in the screenshot below, and choose 'Speed 30m SD' as its associated standard deviation column, that sets the subtype of 'Speed 30m SD' to standard deviation.
