Sharing Flag Rules |
When Windographer writes your dataset to a .windog file, it includes all the flag rules that your dataset uses. So to share a flag rule with a colleague, simply send him or her the .windog file that contains the flag rule. Your colleague can open the file, see the flag rule, and add it to his or her favorite flag rules if desired.
Tip: You can write flag rules without using specific column names. This may allow you to share rules between files with a variety of column names and formats. For more information please refer to the article on Using flag rules across multiple datasets.
Windographer stores your favorite flag rules as .xml files on your computer. You could share your favorite flag rules with a colleague by copying these files or by using a common directory.
The default file location is within the common application data folder. In the English language version of Windows Vista and Windows 7,
it will have the following path:
C:\ProgramData\Windographer\v5\Favorites\FlagRules\
You can specify a different directry from the Folders tab in the Options window.
