Exporting to Meteodyn WT

From the Meteodyn WT tab of the Export Data window, Windographer exports time series data in a text format that can be read by the wind flow model Meteodyn WT.

Tip: This tab will appear in the Export Data window only if your data set contains speed and direction data, and you are using the Standard or higher edition of Windographer. Please visit www.windographer.com for information on the pricing and capability of each edition.

If your dataset contains multiple wind speed or direction sensors, you must choose one of each to export. The format and extension of the file will depend on whether your chosen wind speed sensor has an associated standard deviation data column or not. (You can associate data columns with each other in the Configure Dataset window.)

If Speed Column Has Associated SD Column

In the case that your selected wind speed data column has an associated standard deviation column, the export file will have a .timsigma extension and contain five space-delimited columns of data:

Only time steps that contain valid speed, direction, and speed SD values will appear in the file.

If Speed Column Does Not Have Associated SD Column

In the case that your selected speed column has no associated SD column, the export file will have a .tim extension and contain four space-delimited columns of data:

Only time steps that contain valid speed and direction values will appear in the file.

You can also choose to export all or just a subset of the time steps in the dataset, and with the flag checkboxes you can adjust the definition of validity for the purposes of including or excluding time steps from the export file.
