Diurnal Pattern Strength

The diurnal pattern strength is a measure of how strongly the wind speed depends on the time of day. You must enter the diurnal pattern strength on the Synthesize Wind Speed Data tool window. If the mean diurnal wind speed profile followed a sinusoidal curve, the diurnal pattern strength would be equal to the amplitude of this curve divided by its mean value.
